Wow! I haven’t posted on Substack since November 2022, but let’s change that. I took quite a bit of time away from my cards [aside from an occasional weekly reading here and there]. I’ve noticed I shift quite a bit seasonally and winter happened to be a card break for me, as well as blogging as it appears.
What have I been up to?! Well, for starters my Squid Cake Marseille mass market edition is out in the world since the beginning of this month through Rockpool Publishing! Woo hoo! This deck can be found at most online bookstores and shops near you. I’m thrilled to see it pop up all over and have been receiving such great feedback! Last week I joined Jen from Stardust Wanderer Tarot for a little IG live interview that can be seen HERE - we talked about my deck and chickens!
Some of you may already know, but I run a local chapter of the Arizona Native Plant Society in our area so I’ve been busy with that, the season is just starting now that the snow has [hopefully] slowed down… It seems we’ve gotten some snow once each week but I don’t see any on the forecast going forward [knock on wood]. Love winter and love the snow but I’m so ready for blooms, trails and wildlife.
In other news… My deck bag shop is closed indefinitely and I’m not sure when or if I’ll be reopening it. I now have a lot of time to devote to my personal card praxis and also start writing more card related content. I just recently got back into playing cards again, and I’m still chipping away with my Thoth studies that I set aside during winter.
What’s coming to Substack?! I’m in the mood to share some deck reviews of a few new decks I’ve received lately [one is an oracle, one is tarot and three are playing card decks]. I might bring back week ahead readings or my mini New Moon tarotscopes? I’m all ears and just really want to chat about cards, drink copious amounts of iced coffee and connect with other readers again since I feel like I’ve stepped pretty far out of the spotlight. I’ve been itching to start working on a few mini-post series that will focus on open reading techniques, card profiles, compare and contrast within tarot, etc.
Let me know what you would like to see me talk about, I’d love to hear!
I'm a relative beginner and I'd love to see some deck reviews that you'd recommend for newer knitters. They all look so tempting but I worry that I might find some of them hard to interpret
