I have something awesome to share… Jamie Sawyer and I recently created a collab based off an idea I had brewing and I wanted to share it in more detail with you all because it’s pretty neat!
I absolutely love working with Jamie, her products are top notch and so well crafted. We have done several collabs in the past with tarot and lenormand tiles, as well as a lenormand casting board that was inspired by my own Strange Lenormand.
Since starting my own decanic walk, I’ve been looking for a way to display my 3 cards for each decan, as well as the current decan degrees, ruling planet and zodiacal glyph. This card stand does just that!
Each stand fits 3 standard tarot cards (I’m using a pocket deck in the pics) and changeable tiles: 12 zodiac glyphs, 7 planets, and 6 degree markers (0°, 9°, 10°, 19°, 20° and 29° to note the decans).
The card stand set was illustrated by me and features the 12 zodiac signs and 7 main planets as a sigil glyph on the card stand top… see if you can find all glyphs, some are hidden within other glyphs.
How do you use this? If you are familiar with the book 36 Secrets, then you already know how this works. A decan is 10° of a sign and each sign rules 30° of the year so there are three decans per zodiacal sign.
(Example: Scorpio l 0°-9°, Scorpio ll 10°-19°, and Scorpio lll 20°-29°)
Each decan rules a minor arcana card and within that card are two major arcana cards that correspond to that specific card. If you look below at the wheel and find the current dates you will see a minor arcana card noted.
(Example: At the time of this post, we are on the final decan of Scorpio Nov 13-22 and that means the minor arcana card is the 7 of Cups. The 7 of Cups is rules by Venus in Scorpio… so the majors associated to that are the Empress and Death)
Using that example I noted above: From your deck you will pull the 7 of Cups, Empress and Death, then place them on the stand in the slot with the minor in the center. Then pull out the following tiles that come with the stand: Venus (for Empress), Scorpio (for Death) and the decan degrees of 20° and 29° (those match the current dates). The degree tiles go in the center, the planet on the left and the zodiac on the right. Now you can display the current decan and associated cards on your altar or desk until the next decan shows up.
This is a great interactive way to work with the decans on a visual level, study the cards or even just get to know the astrological associations of each minor arcana card.
If you have yet to read 36 Secrets by T. Susan Chang, I can’t recommend it enough… even if you have no interest in working with the decans. The book has so much great info on each card a lot of to chew on.
These card stands with tiles are $39 each and can be purchased in Jamie Sawyer’s shop through the button below (deck not included):

🙌🏼♥️ I love the way you’ve explained the usage of the stands to go with your decanic walk! I started one when 36 Secrets came out but never finished bc like most things I get distracted.
